Trade Manager Oils

Job description

Reporting to the Managing Director of company, in Gurgaon, India. The position will have a dotted line to the VP of Global Trade Oils in Switzerland, the incumbent will be responsible for: • Trading of all vegetable oil in bulk for company into this market. • Fully responsible for the P& L of company DM oils. • Maintain and improve our customer relationships in the country. • Explore potential partner opportunities / strategic opportunities in this market. • Responsible for maintaining Veg Oils & Ds for India. • Negotiating and obtaining the best value for company’s vegetable oils into these markets. • Utilizing knowledge of Vegetable Oil flows and Global S&Ds in order to efficiently move company into this market. • Utilizing experience in commodity markets, positioning, hedging/selling recommendation to customers • Managing credit, legal issues and processing aspects of company’s vegetable oil business.

Describe Candidate Profile

• The successful candidate will possess the following: • University degree, preferably with economic background. • 10-12 years commercial experience, preferably including trading and logistics in agricultural commodities. • Excellent understanding of pricing mechanisms as well as the relationship between worldwide supply and demand, and the pricing of agricultural commodities, specifically vegetable oils. • In depth knowledge of the freight spreads necessary to move vegetable oil products from origin to destination markets. • Previous experience of vegetable oil trading would be beneficial. • Analytical, creative, objective team player. • Strong ability to collaborate within a multi-cultural and cross-functional setting. • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel. • Excellent contract negotiation skills
