Chief Financial Officer

Job description

• Develop and execute financial strategies in line with organisational goals. • Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations. Oversee budgeting, and financial forecasting. • Strategically assess and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks through comprehensive risk management frameworks, ensuring the company's fiscal integrity, operational resilience, and sustained growth. • Manage financial operations, including accounting and cash flow, and lead the finance team. • Assess the allocation of capital, acquisition expenses, customer retention, and financing strategies. Create performance metrics that align with the company's strategic goals. • Collaborate with external partners and assess potential M&A opportunities. • Manage vendor relationships and all financial operations. • Ensure compliance with the various local and international laws, regulatory authorities, and the company's policies. • Optimise the company's tax strategy. • Oversee all audit and internal control processes

Describe Candidate Profile

• CA with a minimum of 8 years of finance and accounting experience and at least 5 years of experience in international company in India. • Demonstrated expertise as a CFO, finance officer, or in a similar role. • Exposure to maritime, shipping, trading or logistics could be a value-added. • Excellent communication skills and a knack for building relationships. • Strong leadership and organisational abilities, along with effective interpersonal skills for engagement with other department heads. • Exceptional proficiency in data analysis and utilisation of forecasting methods. • Profound understanding of corporate financial law and adeptness in risk management practices. • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, and with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
