RedBus, India’s leading online bus ticketing platform and a key business under the MakeMyTrip Group, has announced the appointment of Divya Amarnath as its Vice President and Head – Human Resources, effective January 2026.
In her new role, Divya Amarnath will lead the company’s end-to-end human resources function, including talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness, culture building, and workforce planning. She will work closely with senior leadership to align RedBus’ people strategy with its long-term business objectives and expansion plans across domestic and international markets.
Divya brings over 15 years of diverse HR leadership experience across consumer internet, technology, and large conglomerates. Prior to joining RedBus, she served as Group Head – HR, Digital Transformation and Analytics at Godrej Industries Group, where she played a key role in integrating digital capabilities with HR strategy and driving data-led people initiatives.
Her professional journey also includes senior HR leadership roles at organisations such as Lenskart, Flipkart, XSEED Education, and Unilever. Across these roles, she has been instrumental in building scalable HR frameworks, strengthening employer branding, managing complex workforce transitions, and fostering high-performance cultures in fast-growing environments.
Academically, Divya Amarnath holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development and a BTech in Computer Science from Vellore Institute of Technology. Her strong blend of HR expertise and technology background positions her well to support RedBus’ digital-first and growth-oriented business model.
